Danish Nobility

Mogens Mormand was a Danish Nobleman who lived in the county of Halland, on the manor Torstorp, when the county became Swedish in 1645. His brother Claus lived on the manor Öströö. Mogens was the commander at Varberg Fortress[1]

Mogens had two sons out of wedlock that he acknowledged as his, Henrik and Måns. One of them was Bengt Morman's father.[2]

Swedish Nobility

The Danish family Mormand was neutralised in 1732 and introduced as a Swedish Noble family in 1743. It died out in 1882.[3]
